A brilliant little addition to my workflow has been an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Notability. From time to time I need something for class where it’d be quicker just to write it out by hand. This is especially true for example graphs or quick assignments that I don’t want to spend the time typesetting. Previously, I’d write it in sharpie, scan it, and then print whatever I needed. Great and all, but I would often scrap the original or need additional copies later.
Nowadays, I open up Notability, sketch out what I need and after a few seconds it’s been mirrored to my computer (Notability lets you back up the database to a cloud service like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive). My teaching computer is also hooked up to my OneDrive, so if the need arises for extra copies, it’s already there. If I need one of these from last year, they’re sitting in the appropriate folder from last year.
